We made it through the worst of the storm. Lots of wind, plenty of thunderstorms, lots of rain, but not too bad in Baton Rouge. The poor folks west of us got clobbered, so I have nothing to complain about.

i hope everyone is safe.

Glad you made it through okay. That thing was predicted to be nasty but I hope it didn’t do too much damage.

Thanks. Nothing to worry about now except thunderstorms, tornadoes, and flooding.

Nothing bad for us so far. A few small branches were torn out of the pecan tree, but that’s about it for now. Thunderstorms, tornadoes, and flash flooding are all we have to worry about.

Good to hear from you this morning.  Now the area can start to assess and recover.

Thanks! Long-term d isaster recovery seems to be my specialty these days. Our team has already reached out to the affected areas to offer services. FEMA will get started as soon as the disaster declaration is official. We work on the public side, providing support for the local governments to assess and recover from their losses. Other companies will go in to assist FEMA with individual losses. Most of their work is done within a year. We’re still working on recovery work after Harvey and will for the next five years or so.
